Melissa Burton, LCSW, CMC

Hi, I’m Melissa.

I’m a learner at heart. My Kindle and I are in a committed relationship, and I’m the person who signs up for extra trainings just because I’m curious.

That curiosity is what I bring into our work. You don’t have it all figured out, just a willingness to explore. When we meet ourselves with curiosity instead of judgment, new insight and possibility can unfold.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through caregiving, life transitions, menopause, and relationship challenges. I draw from approaches like EMDR, which helps your brain release the weight of past experiences, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps us understand and care for the different parts of you so they can work together instead of against you.

More than anything, I focus on creating a space where you feel seen, accepted, and supported.

Outside of work, I love reading, writing, and spending time with my husband, our dog Pepper, and our fat cat, Peanut. In the summer, I’m outside soaking up the Tennessee heat. In winter, I’m bundled up with a good docuseries or a lighthearted podcast.
