Overwhelm

Sarah* is exhausted. For as long as she can remember, she’s been working through an endless list of responsibilities – tirelessly juggling her family, career, and life. She thought things might finally get easier when her youngest left for college, but then she received the dreaded call that her mother fell was in the hospital. Now, in addition to her usual stress, she has a full schedule of doctor’s visits, calls with the insurance company, and caring for her ailing mom. Her marriage is suffering from neglect, and she feels so guilty that she can’t make it all work. Sometimes, she wonders if she’ll ever get a moment to just breathe.

Burnout

Angela* is being pulled into a season of unsettling changes. Navigating perimenopause is challenging enough, but when you add the demands of raising two teenage daughters and holding down a career that feels tenuous at best, it’s downright unfair. The hot flashes and mood swings are tough, but what’s more burdensome is the loneliness. She doesn’t recognize herself anymore and feels like a stranger in her own skin. Her friendships aren’t what they once were, and she often wonders if anyone truly understands what she’s going through. She wants connection, but the apathy is just too strong.

Doubt

Monica* feels like a failure. From the outside, she seems to have it all together – successful, dependable, and always with a smile on her face. But people don’t see the overwhelming anxiety, disconnection, and stress that’s bubbling just below the surface. They don’t know about the constant negative voice in the back of her mind, reinforcing her worst fears. “You’re not good enough.” “No one likes you.” “You’ll mess everything up.” It feels like she’s been telling herself these things her entire life. She’s so tired of pretending everything is fine while she falls apart inside, but doesn’t know any other way.

Things can’t go on this way.

You don’t know how much longer you can keep showing up for everyone else while ignoring yourself.

Stress, loneliness, and the weight of old beliefs have disconnected you from the person you want to be.

You want to make a change so badly, but you’re unsure of the way forward.

There is hope.

Therapy offers a space to set down what feels heavy and reconnect to yourself with curiosity instead of judgment.

Here, you can begin to loosen old patterns, discover new ways of coping, and find the clarity and confidence to move forward.

Healing is possible, and now is the time to create more room for peace, joy, and the life you deserve.

“You don’t have to set yourself on fire to keep other people warm.”

– Penny Reid

Hi, I'm Melissa

I help women who feel stretched thin by caregiving, relationships, career changes, shifting hormones, and the constant pressure to hold it all together.

Life can get messy and overwhelming, but I believe that with the proper support, healing and growth are always possible.

I’m a learner at heart, and love bringing curiosity into everything I do. This work isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about creating space to explore without judgment.

Therapy with me is compassionate and conversational, and I promise you’ll be met with kindness and genuine care as we work to uncover your strengths and create space for the life you want to live.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Call now to schedule your free consultation

NOT SURE YOU NEED COUNSELING?

Everyone could use a little help from time to time. You don’t have to have any major trauma to benefit from counseling.

If you feel lost and overwhelmed we can help. Life doesn’t always follow a fairytale storyline and disappointment from ups and downs can cause you to feel disconnected from life. Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn strategies to help you both right now and in the future.

Sarah reached out to me, and we started helping her more easily manage her guilt and exhaustion. In our sessions, she learned practical tools for logistics and boundaries. Now, she’s caring for her mom, nurturing her marriage, and is still able to make space for herself.

Angela called me and we explored the parts of her that felt overwhelmed, lonely, and disconnected. Through our work, she slowly developed the ability to meet herself with greater compassion. Now, she’s more comfortable in her own skin and has an easier time connecting with others.

Monica scheduled her free consultation, and we set to work. Using research-based EMDR therapy and her own curiosity, we gently began healing the old wounds behind her self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy. Now, she has more confidence and believes she deserves a better life.

It’s time for a change.

Start caring for yourself, and watch the ripple effect bless you and everyone around you.

Don’t let any more time slip away. Therapy can help. Reach out today for your free consultation.
